WSET Level 2 Award in Wines
WSET Level 2 dives deeper into viticulture, winemaking, and the world's major wine regions. We will cover many of the key European and global wine regions including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, USA, Australia, and more. Food and Wine pairing is also a notable aspect of this curriculum and will give you the foundational tools to build creative and classic food and wine journeys. This wine course will appeal to the beginner and does not have any prerequisites, though is the natural progression from WSET Level 1. COURSE FORMAT
8 evenings | 6pm-9pm
Theory discussion and tutored wine tastings each class
Applicable knowledge for restaurant servers, managers, sommeliers, wine sales or keen wine enthusiasts.
Full payment is charged at the time of registration. Your payment is non-refundable but you can transfer to a future course of the same type if you get in touch 14 days or more before the start date. In the rare event TIWS has to cancel a course you will receive a 100% refund.
PLEASE NOTE: A set of 6 ISO glasses are required for this class and are also available for purchase ($35 + tax). Please add ISO glasses to your cart if you do not already own a set of glasses. The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for the Level 2 Award in Wines is 28 hours. This is made up of 17 Guided Learning Hours (of which 1 hour is for the examination) and 11 hours’ private study.

She was well-prepared, friendly and made sure everyone's questions were answered thoughtfully. The lay out of the sessions and accompanying wines selected to compliment and mirror our readings were excellent. We tried loads of interesting wines from different regions and at different price points to highlight the nuances of each varietal and regional differences. Jenna made sure we knew where to track down the bottles we tried each week and it was fun sharing "homework" we had drunk between each session.
